Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Nurse Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working) Hourly Pay Rate: £25.16 to £30.18 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract Length: 6 months Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Senior Quality Assurance Nurse to our client, based in Birmingham. The Senior Quality Assurance Nurse will support the Continuing Healthcare team to meet its statutory obligation of 28 days and receives thecorrect referral at first entry point into CHC. They will also support and undertake the monitoring of a range of quality and governance processes these include participating in the clinical verification of Fast Tracks, Checklists, Funded Nursing Care, andCHC assessments to ensure these are in line and appropriate with the National Framework for Continuing Healthcare and Continuing Care. Duties of the Senior Quality Assurance Nurse - Assist in the implementation of policies involving National Framework for Continuing Healthcare and Funded Nursing Care in Care Homes with Nursing. - To undertake Nursing Assessments for patients with identified health needs. - To complete the Decision Support Tool and recommendation as indicated. - To complete Continuing Healthcare Review assessments and complete appeal assessments. - Preparation of cases for panel; and provide advice and guidance to external agencies. - To make recommendations following Nursing Assessment relating to all identified needs of a client. - Identify clients who are at risk and act upon/ manage any issues related to the findings. Knowledge & Experience - Qualification at degree level or equivalent experience or competencies. - Evidence of ongoing CPD / learning. - CHC clinical experience in practice. - Experience of negotiating and liaising with multi-disciplinary team. - Evidence of undertaking audit and implementing outcomes in a range of settings. - Understanding of the National Framework for Continuing Health Care. - Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions and to resolve problems in relation to service delivery. - Experience of dealing with sensitive information and predictable situations where there is a requirement for occasional concentration. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills. - Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly. - Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes. - Able to travel as required by service.
