Then look no further!We currently have a Process Control Technician position available for a motivated individual to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £41,500 per annum (inclusive of 20% shift allowance). In the development of this role, you will be supported with a Process Control Technician levels 1 to 6 progression scheme where you can receive up to to £51,080 per annum, plus, overtime opportunities, company benefits + rewards.”About the role:As the Process Control Technician, you will support the Drinking Water Services Process Control Team Manager in the central control of water treatment processes, and strategic distribution network operation.You will ensure process and network optimisation through the use of remote-control technology, and effective communication with the field delivery team. To ensure the best cost, least energy, carbon and chemical efficient operation is identified and communicated to the relevant field teams in real time.Shift Pattern:You will be on a 12-week shift rotation which entails 6 days on (consisting of 2 mornings, 2 afternoons and 2 nights) 4 days off, with a 12 day break at the end of the rotation. The shift pattern is inclusive of the standard 23 days annual leave with any further leave accrued from years of service to be taken in the usual way with Manager approvalWhat you’ll be doing:Coordinate the day-to-day outputs of water treatment works and the demands of the strategic distribution network so that customer supplies are maintained to the required quantity, quality and service standardsEffectively monitor, manage, and control all of the appropriate Bournemouth Water Assets in line with company and regulatory processes and proceduresEnsure out of hours Water Treatment alarms for all necessary Water Treatment Works are acted on in line with company SLA’s and adhere to strict escalation proceduresProvide technical information to the operational management team during events and incidents, ensuring all relevant reports and handover documents are written and sent out to all appropriate stakeholders, ensuring details are kept relevant and up to dateTo work with the Water Production and Network Technicians to resolve site alarm issues, react appropriately to process trends and alarms from any DWS sites to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are undertaken by field-based staffCommunicating at all levels within the business and with stakeholders to ensure the DWS assets are maintained and operated to optimum standards, and represent the Process Control team in change management projectsEnsure the effective and efficient operation of the Water Distribution Network through the interpretation of centrally available operational information togetherWork with the Control Centre Alarm Team and NSA Asset Performance Team to optimise the establishment, review, remote management, appropriate and effective response to Drinking Water asset alarmsNotify the appropriate functional manager or their nominated deputy of potentially serious operational problems in accordance with the company’s trigger pointsThe role involves working a 24/7/365 shift pattern The role is based in Exeter.
