Five Education is supporting a specialist provision school in South Bristol and is looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher. We are looking for experienced Teachers who are resilient and up for a challenge as the classes can be challenging. Teachersmust have experience with SEN, with excellent leadership skills and a 'can do' attitude. Our schools will involve Teaching children with mental health needs and high functioning Autism. Having the ability to calm children down is essential, along with the confidence to lead a class of children. This role is temporary at the moment but may have the potential to become long-term in the future. Essential Criteria: At least 12 months of experience working with children/vulnerable adults Qualified Teacher status or a Senco qualification A flexible and resourceful approach Patient and able to relate to the students Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa) Two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks Access to bicycle, car, or near main bus routes. Able to work full-time ongoing Responsibilities and duties: Supporting the student in the class Using behaviour management techniques to keep students calm and maintain a safe working environment Assisting the student in their work Working 1:1 and in small groups Implementing behaviour management tools in line with the school's policy What can Five Education offer you?
