ROLE OVERVIEW:

The opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated and experienced Event Director to join the 54 team, to oversee the delivery of major events on behalf of 54’s international client portfolio.


The role will initially focus on the company’s golf event portfolio (LIV Golf, Aramco Team Series, International Series), and be responsible for all aspects of Event delivery, including, rightsholder, partner and client liaison, budget and project management, production and logistics.

An understanding of the professional golf event ecosystem, its stakeholders, rightsholders and suppliers is an advantage but an ability to navigate and learn about the global golf environment is also sufficient for the role.


The events portfolio is expanding into new sports and territories. Experience in producing other major sports events is an advantage.


The desired candidate must boast extensive international event experience, strong personal motivation, demonstrate innovate and foreword thinking practices, and be comfortable working remotely as well as at the Company’s Head Office in London. As a senior role in the 54 event division the candidate must have extensive project management experience, with a track record of delivering multiple events successfully within tight and competitive deadlines.


Tasked with delivering core aspects of the event, and supported by Senior 54 Management, the candidate must be comfortable managing a variety of relationships and have the ability to work in different cultures.



KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Event Management

  1. End to end management of event delivery, inclusive of operations and guest experience


Management of:

  1. Supplier briefs, contracts, and scopes of service
  2. Event budgets
  3. 54 event delivery team
  4. Key client milestones
  5. Client, rightsholder, stakeholder and internal team calls, meetings and workshops



Liaison with:

  1. Rightsholders, ensuring alignment with governing or sanctioning body, as appropriate
  2. Marketing and communications teams to ensure integration of campaign plan into overall event strategy and delivery
  3. Commercial teams to ensure alignment with invested partners and sponsors
  4. Event broadcasters, maximising partner and stakeholder value
  5. Internal sustainability teams, capitalising on opportunities to deliver environmental, economic, and social impact initiatives
  6. Support wider team with:
  7. Client activation proposals by managing event delivery, timelines and status onsite
  8. Sourcing and negotiation of host venue agreements and requirements
  9. Player negotiations and services


Client Liaison / Account Management


  1. Develop strong relations with clients and lead relevant conference calls and meetings
  2. Ensure client right and benefits are met, and encourage future opportunities to maximise revenue generating opportunities


Team Liaison


  1. Be an excellent communicator and team player
  2. Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure alignment
  3. Contribute good insights in senior management meetings
  4. Encourage and develop best-practice across the business, promoting 54 culture



Reporting


  • Concise updates on:
  • Budgeting
  • Resource
  • Staging and operations
  • Support the delivery of Post Event Reports
  • Flash (7 days post event)
  • Full Post Event Report (4 weeks post event)



Travel


Must be willing to travel to oversee and/or support on international events

Expected travel outside of UK – 16 – 20 weeks per year – circa 16 weeks
