Job Title: GCSE English and Maths Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Colchester Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in GCSE English and Maths Develop individualised learning plans to address specific needs and learning styles Manage challenging behaviour effectively in the learning environment Help to engage learners and foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure student progress Required Qualifications: Recognised teaching qualification Experience working with students with SEN Strong knowledge of GCSE English and Maths curriculum Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: At least 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN Knowledge and Skills: Extensive experience working with students with Special Educational Needs Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management skills Working Conditions: This role involves working with students in their homes, potentially dealing with challenging behaviours. The tutor may need to work flexible hours to accommodate student schedules. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
