Reed.co.uk are looking for a Security Engineer to join their expanding team based in Holborn, Central London (work from ome around 3 days a week).

As a Security Engineer you will be an expert in cyber security, protecting and monitoring our cloud based services. You will be up to date with the latest cyber security threats and controls and you’ll help our teams keep our customer’s data safe and secure.You’ll be contributing to both the DevOps and Architecture teams working on new and existing services and cloud infrastructure. The role will include a mixture of hands on engineering work, high level architecture and advice as well a leading on security initiativesas needed. The role is suitable for a talented Security Engineer with a solid background in the fields of cyber security, software development and operations.

As a Security Engineer, you will :

  • Provide expertise in the field of cyber security
  • Help our teams to be aware of and to follow cyber security best practices
  • Seek out and troubleshoot cyber security related incidents
  • Build monitoring and alerting capabilities
  • Automate cyber security related controls and actions
  • Evaluate security related products and services
  • Look for ways to strengthen our cyber security posture
  • Organise vulnerability and penetration testing
  • Own the security incident response process
  • Take part and contribute to company wide security initiatives

What success will look like in 1 year :

  • High level of cyber security compliance based on certification and maturity models
  • Highly automated cyber security monitoring and alerting in place

Technical

  • Cloud Infrastructure and Security - (Amazon Web Services prefrred)
  • Containers, Kubernetes
  • Cryptography and networking
  • OWASP Top 10 and secure web development
  • Penetration testing and dynamic analysis tools - Burpsuite etc
  • Continuous integration and static analysis - sonarQube, checkMark etc
  • Logging and dashboarding - ELK and other tools
  • Management of a technical security incident response
  • Programming -.NET,.NET core, python, nodejs
  • Scripting Tools - Powershell, Bash
  • Desirable - certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification or the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
