Commercial Data Analytics Developer

If so, we need you!We’re looking for someone to join our Commercial & Marketing team as a Commercial Data Analytics Developer either working remotely or based in our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex office.In this role your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the marketing team, translating business requirements into actionable insights through data analysis, propensity modelling, and the development of BI reporting. You will leverage your skills in data analytics, segmentation, and model development, to enhance our marketing capabilities and improve customer outcomes.Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role: Experience analysing marketing data using T-SQL and/or Python Experience of statistical modelling Experience developing BI reports using Power BI or similar toolsNice to have skills, but optional:Experience of DAX, Power Query and SASExperience of a regulated environment such as Insurance or Financial ServicesWhat’s InvolvedResponsible for capturing data requirements to design, develop and optimise marketing data models which support new and existing marketing initiativesResponsible for creation and maintenance of marketing campaign performance BI reportsAnalyse the quality of data created through marketing activities, understand the impact it has on performance and determine the root causeSegmenting our customer data to improve the customer experience and drive value through improved targetingUse your experience to solve technically complex marketing questions and assist non-technical colleagues in understanding resultsCollaborate with external marketing agencies to extract and supply transformed compliant data for marketing activitiesComply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all timesEnsure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all timesParticipate in annual staff appraisal, staff development and in-service training activities in line with the Commercial Data Competency FrameworkAny other reasonable dutiesExperience & knowledgeProven experience in statistical modellingExtensive experience coding with T-SQL and/or Python, manipulating large datasetsExtensive experience in analysing marketing dataExperience using Power BI, Power Query and DAXExperience of a marketing / insurance environment advantageousSkills & QualificationsSuperb communication and collaboration skillsAbility to decompose complex data requests into a simple roadmap of deliverablesPassion for creating data structures, models and reports which allow users to solve business problemsAbility to influence and support stakeholders, and confidently manage expectations in a dynamic environmentBehavioursYou’re always collaborating: you place team success over personal success and you enjoy working in an open, collaborative environment.You demonstrate responsible ownership: when you see something not working, you'll flag it and be part of the solutionYou seek continuous improvement: you’re always developing new skills and insights, while exploring ways to do things betterYou’re mindful of balance: you're conscious of your own health and that of others.
