Role Description As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing care, support, and guidance to children and young people within the residential service. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE, 39 HOURS PER WEEK, INCLUDING LONG DAYS, SLEEP INS AND WEEKENDS Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people within the residential service. Support children in their daily activities, promoting independence and personal development. Build positive and trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and encouragement. Implement care plans and strategies tailored to the individual needs of each child, ensuring their well-being and safety. Assist with household tasks and chores, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. Participate in recreational and leisure activities with children, promoting social interaction and engagement. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the care and progress of children, following relevant policies and procedures. Requirements Previous experience working with children and young people in a similar role within a residential setting. Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and colleagues. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care. Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and holidays.
