We are seeking a Digital Editor to lead our digital strategy and content execution. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at an exciting time as we continue our ambitious growth as a digital-first brand.


The Digital Editor will be responsible for managing and executing content strategies for SpearsWMS.com, ensuring that content is SEO-optimised, engaging, and aligned with the brand's values. The role will also oversee Spear’s social media channels and email newsletters, driving community growth and engagement.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all digital content across platforms, including SpearsWMS.com and spears500.com
  • Collaborate with the Head of Research to continuously improve Spear’s 500 and other rankings content
  • Oversee and grow Spear’s social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Plan and execute effective digital content strategies
  • Develop and expand the Spear’s newsletter offering
  • Ensure content adheres to SEO strategies and is on-brand
  • Monitor and analyse website traffic, adapting strategies to increase engagement
  • Manage key client relationships and deliver successful client content campaigns


Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a Digital Editor or similar role within a high-profile media brand
  • Strong understanding of SEO and analytics for web content
  • Expertise in managing social media platforms and building engaged communities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to develop long- and short-term content plans and deliver them effectively
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven
