Design Manager / Technical Manager

£60k-85k + benefits

London/Orpington/Flexible Working

We are currently seeking a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to join a dynamic and ambitious team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-construction and live site/construction design management, working on a range of exciting projects. • Cambs, £14m - New build of 140 apartments
  
• Herts, £11m - New build of 30-40 apartments
  
• Essex, £7m - New build of 41 apartments
  
• SE London - £3.6m Airspace project
  
• NW London - £1.1m Airspace project
  

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Involvement with pre-construction activities and tenders, identifying and addressing any issues
  
• Oversee design management throughout construction stage to project closeout
  
• Work on up to 6 or 7 live jobs concurrently, collaborating with construction and commercial teams
  
• Report to the Construction Director and indirectly to the Managing Director
  

Qualifications/Experience:

• 
  
• You will ideally have experience in residential new build, particularly with RC frame construction
  
• Knowledge of airspace schemes/adding new floors to existing buildings is advantageous
  
• Architectural or Design background and contractor side experience in design coordination/design management, ability to work with drawings and details effectively
