Job descriptionJob Title: Teacher of Science Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire Salary: M1 to UPS3 (paid to scale)Start Date: September 2024GSL Education’s Hull branch is currently looking to appoint a Qualified Teacher of Science at a co-educational secondary school located in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This is a full-time position, with a start date of September 2024. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.Teacher of Science Role and Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality science lessons to students aged 11-16.Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.Develop and implement creative teaching strategies.Support students in their scientific inquiries and experiments.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum.Teacher of Science Requirements:Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with UK-based teaching experience within the last 2 years.Specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics to A-Level. Be able to teach all three Sciences at Key Stage 3 and GCSE levels.Have a collaborative and co-operative mindset.Have an enthusiastic and dynamic approach to teaching Science, promoting the subject across the school.Have an updated CV with an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
