Job summary Come and work in beautiful Swansea Bay, with fabulous coastline, outdoor pursuits, and mountain walking all within easy travelling distance.Come and join our forward thinking physiotherapy team, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a number of multi-disciplinary professionals to assist people in their recovery and return to the community.The service covers various medical specialties including respiratory, gastroenterology, care of the elderly, endocrinology and neurology. The service will be delivered over 7 days and the successful post-holder will be expected to participate in the weekend rota which will include no more than a 1 in 6 weekend working pattern. Following the worked weekend 2 consecutive days off will be given the following Monday to Friday. Main duties of the job The role will involve working in support of the physiotherapist in the assessment of patients, facilitating timely discharge, delivering physiotherapy treatment programmes as part of an individualised plan of care and promoting independence by working independently or with other members of the physiotherapy or wider multidisciplinary team. A health related NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification is essential for this post.Previous experience of working in the NHS or hospital and MDT setting is will be opportunities to work alongside senior staff. Strong professional support is available in terms of in-house training, developmentand mentoring for the successful candidate. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
