Who we are : Flooring Superstore (Connection Flooring Ltd) is an award-winning flooring retailer. After starting out online back in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have grown considerably in size. Flooring Superstore is our main brand selling a wide range of floor types, whilst Direct Wood Flooring and Grass Direct are more specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass respectively.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Depot Supervisor to work at our Bristol Depot.

About the Role :

  • Work closely alongside and also deputise for Depot Manager
  • Split orders by route confirming all orders have arrived at Depot
  • Complete reports for HQ including Returns / Hold and Other details
  • Issue Routes and ‘Driver Packs’ to drivers
  • Provide timely responses and actions to issues raised on the Daily Report
  • Support RDM’s in completing RCA to reduce and prevent further incidents and accidents
  • Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant to legal requirements
  • Where applicable, ensure all driver and vehicle tacho downloads are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist Depot Manager with Driver’s performance through regular, proactive communication and reviews
  • Analyse telematics comparing performance and issue improvement actions accordingly
  • Assist Depot Manager to Manage budget vs actual targeting improvements where necessary working with RDM
  • Ensure depot has appropriate levels of vehicle consumables to minimise downtime
  • Assist in Managing agency levels at depot and confirm worked hours with RDM for payment accuracy
  • Assist with dealing with lateness and poor attendance following guidance from HR
  • Produce reports to support identifying improvement opportunities and discuss with RDM
  • Complete customer order deliveries daily
  • Control of any additional hire fleet used and confirming details to HQ
  • Ensure Depot hygiene and cleanliness is maintained to ‘visit ready’ standard
  • Any other related duties as may be reasonably requested by the company

The Person :

  • Experience in supervising and managing diverse and multicultural teams
  • Ability to provide leadership and coaching
  • Experience of managing within a fast paced high volume environment
  • Transport Managers CPC or Good working knowledge of regulations and requirements
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Logical and analytical approach to data analysis and problem solving
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced driving qualification would be advantageous
