Assistant Quantity Surveyor

job details Randstad C&P are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist subcontractor working on civils, groundworks and highways projects across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire! The subcontractor are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a background in the Civil Engineering industry, looking to take their next step with an ambitious company who can develop and propel their career forwards. Responsibilities:Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project remains within the budget.Identify and manage any cost variations or overruns.Carry out regular site measurements and valuations of the work completed.Prepare interim and final valuation statements for payments to subcontractors and suppliers.Ensure accurate records of work progress and materials used.Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials and services required for the project.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.Prepare and submit regular financial reports to the project management team and stakeholders.Handle contractual issues and disputes as they arise.Benefits: A strong salary (up to £55K) and benefits, including paid holiday, pension and private healthcareTravel expenses and relative flexibility to work from homeThe chance to join an emerging contractor and contribute to high profile, innovative schemes Working in a strong culture Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
