Customer Service Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Term (3 month contract) Customer Service Advisor to be based at our depot in Birchwood. As Customer Service Advisor, reporting to the Head of Customer Operations, you will be responsible for administrative tasks relating to equipment at both on hire and post hire stages. You will maximise recovery revenue through contract management during the life of the hire, customer chargeable billing and dispute resolution. These administrative tasks will include customer and internal interactions in a bid to secure revenue where applicable.

Responsibilities include :

  • Order extension management - proactive calls and audit actions associated including any operational driven contract changes to customers for ongoing hires
  • Site moves fulfilment when requested, ensuring the customer is informed at all times
  • Supporting operations and keeping customers informed where required with contract amendments, late delivery notifications and alternative machine requests
  • Supporting operations with contract releases required liaising with credit control
  • Process of machine exchanges and keeping customers informed throughout with effective communication
  • Pre delivery and pre collection calls to support business efficiencies, to reduce potential aborted journey
  • Management and set up of Telematics via portal when required
  • Notifying customers & raising invoices for operational revenue recoveries.i.e. aborted journeys, fuel charges, damages etc
  • Experience in aftersales administration in particular invoice queries and billing
  • Strong organisational skills to maintain excel spreadsheet data
  • Ability to negotiate with customers to balance both revenue for the business and customer retention.
  • Proactive, high energy team player, ability to work closely with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to balance a customer-oriented and a results-driven approach
