SENCo Opportunity at Leading Secondary School in Merton Your Next Career Move We are delighted to partner with a high-achieving secondary school in Merton seeking a dynamic and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to lead their dedicated SEN department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive SEN strategy, ensuring all students receive the support they need to reach their full potential. Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SEN professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Oversee statutory assessments and contribute to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) processes. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN interventions, using data to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification Proven experience in a SENCo role, ideally within a secondary school setting Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation Why Choose This Role?
