Due to an internal promotion we currently have a great opportunity for someone to take the first step into an insurance sales career with excellent long-term progression. A truly varied role where

you’ll contribute to the effective and efficient running of the branch. Your day to day tasks will be to generate and manage new customers and help us deliver profitable growth through sales of our General Insurance and Risk Management products.

As Sales Adviser you’ll focus on bringing your personality to the role and establishing long term, effective relationships with new and existing customers. We’re all about warm personalities, quality conversations and a customer-first attitude, so you’ll be expected to rigorously evaluate customer’s financial information before recommending products and services that meet their needs.

You will also help generate publicity, including newsletters, advertising and attendance at shows and events to produce leads and enhance the reputation of NFUM and to protect the brand in its primary catchment areas in line with the local sales plan.

About you : Passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer service and sales advice. Enthusiastic, with recent telephone-based sales or customer service experience, you bring an approachable style to building relationships with customers and colleagues alike. A background in Insurance/Financial Services or farming/agriculture is desirable but not a necessity, but it is essential that you have the following:

  • Recent successful sales or customer-service experience
  • Desire and abilityto generate and develop new and existing business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C, or equivalent, including Maths and English.
