An exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join Saint-Gobain Digital in a remote or hybrid position. Experience needed :
- Experience with the Informatica ETL set of tools (IICS or similar).
- Experience with the MS Azure platform (ADLS, Synapse, Synapse Pipelines, Azure DevOps etc).
- Experience with using source control systems (GIT etc).
- Good understanding or relational and non-relational databases (NoSQL).
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
Desirable :
- Experience with incorporating Data Governance principles into designs.
- Experience with data quality and cataloguing tools (MS Purview).
- Experience of working with Service Delivery, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Integration and Testing teams in a large organisation.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities :
- Setting up and maintaining data pipelines.
- Creation of views and tables in our data warehouse platform.
- Documentational workflows and pipelines created.
- Responsible for implementing automated tests and deployment frameworks in collaboration with DevOps.
- Responsible for ensuring cost optimization on the platforms
- Monitoring performance issues on the platform alongside Service Delivery
