Here at GXO, we are looking for a Health & Safety Team Coordinator on a full time, permanent basis to be based in our Head Office in Northampton whereby you’ll support our UK & IE team in all things EHSQ. You’ll support by investigating the root cause and trend analysis of personal injury, MHE and motor incidents using the health & safety compliance system and communicating effectively with the investigator(s) and site teams. You’ll also provide invaluable administration support to our EHSQ Director for the UK and IE and the Heads of H&S for each business unit and regional H&S managers.

You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm, we do ask for some flexibility as we are a 24/7 operation and your support maybe needed on occasion.

What you’ll do on a typical day :

  • Support the root cause and trend analysis of personal injury, MHE and motor incidents
  • Management of the health and safety compliance system, ensuring key data is inputted by sites at the appropriate time
  • Support in the collation of data for various QHSE reports including but not limited to the end of year BU QHSE report and monthly executive QHSE board report
  • Participating and assisting with planned meetings, taking minutes and actions where appropriate
  • Support the site teams with QHSE action completion within specified deadlines and maintain a record

What you need to succeed at GXO :

  • Previous experience working in an administration role in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • NEBOSH General Certificate - Desirable but not essential (training will be provided)
  • Good standard of written and spoken English and Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to communicate at all levels within the business and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
