Weekend Pesto and Pasta Sales Opportunity at London

  • Wimbledon
  • Lord Pesto

About us: Producing an absolutely topping range of fresh pasta and pesto, sold in and around London

We produce a range of pasta and pesto from fresh ingredients every week. Our kitchen is sited on an organic farm so we are ideally positioned to keep our products and produce as fresh as possible! We sell at various London locations mainly in the west end, and central locations, with Blackheath and currently Leytonstone being the furthest out markets we have.

About you: We are looking for an independently minded self-starter with good sales experience. You will be able to display an infectious level of enthusiasm needed to engage our customers with a passion for pasta, sauces and recipe ideas. You will be responsible not only for achieving sales targets but also to liaise with market managers about any issues with regards to layout, market position. To find the best position for our stall within the market and to hold that is your mission!

We need someone who is ideally available for a Saturday and Sunday shift (Our current sales days) However we are mainly looking for reliability, someone who can cover a set pattern on a medium to long term basis.

The Job: To set up tables, table cloths, umbrella and all signs, packaging, work scales efficiently with regards to pricing, to be able to setup a card reader app on your phone so that you can take card payments on our behalf (we supply the card reader and with our support you need to setup an account and navigate the necessary settings.)

In addition to the initial setup the concise and efficient pack down of all items is part of the job. Attention to detail is important here as the same kit is used the following day or week. If anything is in the wrong place, reader not put back on to charge, signs not returned to the correct box, before we know it markets don’t have a full set of signs or the card machine runs out of batterythat impacts heavily on our sales.

Our markets are all year around, so to be able to deal with the summer highs and the cold of winter is an essential skill! Saturday Markets begin at 9 am, some run till 1pm, others till 2pm. Arrival for 8am is good to allow setup and pre-packing of each product helps to allow an easier work flow for the whole day. Sunday markets start at 10am till 2. Again 9am or earlier, especially while still learning the stall.

For your first shift you would have training on the spot, from there we would assess your suitability going forward.
