As a support worker, you will be working with established residential homes which range between 2-5 young people or adults. You will be working alongside an established team within the home, supporting learning disabilities, mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties and/or challenging behaviours. As a Support worker, you can pick from a variety of shifts these being long days, waking nights and sleeps.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be making a vital difference, providing consistency with the home you will be able to form a key bond and see how you can bring a change to the individuals.

This role is suitable for those who need extra income or want an opportunity to build and grow in the social care industry. With further opportunities to work with national clients and secure a permanent contract of your interest.

The role includes :

  • Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments
  • Building relationships
  • Recording the activity & reporting key aspects of their care
  • Promoting independence and developing their life skills

Requirements of the role

  • Full UK driving licence, this is not essential but an advantage
  • 3+ Months of experience supporting people with disabilities
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Optional)

  • Hourly rates between £10.42 and £11 per hour + Sleep Over payments (£19,000-£22,000 + s/o full-time equivalent)

  • Once the temp hours are completed a direct transition into a full-time, permanent position with opportunities to complete the NVQ Level 3

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service or provide Update Service subscription details
