Junior Financial Accountant

Investigo are delighted to be exclusively supporting a Northampton based FTSE Listed business with their recruitment of a Junior Financial Accountant, on a permanent basis.

The role reports to the Financial Accountant and is part of the Central Finance function within Business Services, providing financial support in the production of the monthly management accounts. The Junior Financial Accountant will work closely with and bementored by the Financial Accountant and Assistant Financial Accountant, to ensure that requests are actioned efficiently and effectively.

Key duties will include:

  • Assisting with central accruals and prepayments for business units, and ensuring accurate and compliant with policy.
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journals.
  • Providing finance business partners with accurate monthly cost allocations, and ensuring all change requests are actioned, and queries reviewed.
  • Working closely with the assistant Financial Accountant to compile accurate detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations including investigating and resolving variances and highlighting risk areas to the business.
  • Supporting the central accounting team with ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Understanding and challenging current business practice, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve processes.

Our Client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £28,000 + Study Support
