BIM - Virtual Design and Construction Manager - Flexible Location

This role requires someone who can demonstrate leadership in the delivery of virtual, design and construction technology with proven ability to engage and drive both learning and delivery across multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of digital best practice and BIM, along with having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for team and self-development. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fulfil the role of BIM/VDC manager on projects that will range across the entire project/asset lifecycle (RIBA 0-7)Lead a combination of VDC offerings such as: clash detection, automated rule-based checking, visualisation (rendering, VR, AR), construction sequencing and costing (4D & 5D BIM)Create and maintain the project’s BIM/Digital Execution Plan in response to the client’s requirementsSupport our CDE Manager in configuring and maintaining the project's Common Data Environment, implementing processes and procedures to enable reliable information exchanges between stakeholdersEstablish and manage the projects BIM Collaboration PlatformImplement digital technologies and other cutting-edge methodologies to ensure progress and continuous innovation in the delivery of digital projectsPlan and lead relevant kick off meetings/workshops to support the project delivery team implementing BIMProvide Digital and BIM support across multi-disciplinary teams and the various business unitsCapture lessons learned for future projects and implement improved workflowsSupport the BIM Lead in the continuous improvement of current processes and proceduresParticipate in the company’s BIM working group to develop a multidisciplinary digital workflow across the companyProvide advice and support to teams regarding emerging technologies that will enhance and streamline their individual delivery processesContribute to the wider digital Initiatives within Tetra Tech strategic groups ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Awareness of functionality and capabilities of BIM Authoring and other software solutions (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla etc.)Experience with the UK BIM Framework & BS EN ISO 19650 suite of documentsExperience within an AEC practice / environmentDemonstrable understanding of project processes, workflows and contractual obligationsAbility to author BIM/Digital Execution PlansExperience developing and implementing Digital and BIM StandardsManagement and delivery of client’s information requirements on construction projectsExperience with multi-disciplinary teams’ integration on projectsExperience managing and configuring a variety of CDE process tools (Viewpoint, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud etc)A thorough understanding of the data, information management, BIM agendas within the UK and the standards and documents for implementation in engineering DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE: 3D Modelling capability (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla etc.)Practical experience delivering 4D / 5D models using appropriate softwareProgramming or application development experience may be advantageousExperience with VR / AR applicationsAn awareness of BIM and GIS integrationAn awareness of facilities management software requirements and integration .
