With over 40 years of experience, we are dedicated to improving the safety, life opportunities, and long-term well-being of the people we support.Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Evening Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our Rochdale Domestic Abuse Service. In this role, you will be responsible for providing trauma-informed, person-centred support to clients within safe accommodation during evening hours. Your work will empower individuals to rebuild their lives, make informed choices, and achieve independence. Support worker key responsibilities:Provide direct support to clients in a safe and secure environment during evening hours.Assist in the move-in process for new clients, ensuring smooth transitions into safe accommodationFacilitate evening group sessions and one-to-one support, helping clients make informed decisions and stay safe.Maintain accurate records, including client support plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.Ensure the security and upkeep of service premises, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.Work collaboratively with the team to promote client independence, safety, and engagement in service improvement.Support worker requirements:Relevant qualification (e.g., Housing, Domestic Abuse, IDVA, ISVA) or equivalent experience.Extensive understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and families.Experience in providing trauma-informed support in safe accommodation or community settings.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skillsKnowledge of safeguarding practices and risk assessment.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as part of a rota.Access to a car for work purposes is desirable.Qualifications and Experience:Previous experience in a support role.Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.Enhanced DBS.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.
