Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: England, Greater London, Mitcham Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training   Salary: £95 - £110 Per day Benefits: PAYE Job Duties: The Teaching Assistant will support teachers in delivering educational programmes, assist with classroom management, and provide one-on-one support to students. Responsibilities include preparing materials for lessons, supervising students during activities, and maintaining a tidy and organised learning environment. Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. A relevant teaching assistant qualification is preferred but not essential. Education: A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Additional qualifications in education or child development are advantageous. Experience: Prior experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Experience working with children or young people is beneficial. Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work well in a team. Basic knowledge of educational principles and practises. Proficiency in using relevant software and technology. Preferred Qualifications: A recognised teaching assistant qualification. Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) or safeguarding children. Working Conditions: The role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The Teaching Assistant may need to support students with varying needs and abilities. The position is part-time and temporary, with the possibility of extension based on performance and school requirements.
