They are currently looking to recruit a Calibration Technician below: A bit about the role: Perform hands-on calibrations as needed within the laboratory.
Calibrate and measure precision instruments within both UKAS and non-UKAS calibration scopes efficiently and in a timely manner.
Ensure customer expectations are met, and on-time delivery is maintained.
Adhere to UKAS procedures, making necessary adjustments to instruments as required.
Document any discrepancies found with attention to detail.
Be able and confident to work independently in the laboratory or on-site, coordinating with customers as needed.
Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated, and machines are serviced according to maintenance schedules.
Proficiently use and calibrate handheld instruments such as Micrometres, Vernier Calipers, Sine Bars, Angle Plates, Rules, Length Standards, Height Gauges, and Dial Test Indicators.
Collaborate with the Calibration Manager and laboratory staff on various projects and tasks as required.
Whats required: Must be commutable to Jarrow Educated to HNC Level Proficient in reading engineering drawings and interpreting geometric tolerances , with a strong understanding of quality standards such as ISO9001 and ISO17025.
Electrical testing and calibration experience Have a good understanding of basic electrical principles.
