Trafford Council have an opportunity available for a Business Support Officer to support their Operation Services for Education team.

Contract :Temporary, initially until 12/02/23

Location :Moss view Road, Partington, M31 4DX

Hours : 36.25 per week

The role : Operational Services for Education currently have a vacancy within the business support team to enable us to continue to build on our success and also bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team.

The business support function service acts as a first point of contact for education establishments to do business with a group of specific services provided by the Trafford Council, which are Catering, Cleaning, School Crossings and Trafford Services forEducation.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to play a part in supporting and developing these services to provide the best for its current and future clients: Duties :

  • Provide an efficient business support function, working collaboratively with colleagues and customers to meet the day to day service needs.
  • Be responsible for maintaining staff cover details / work schedules and completing inputting in order to provide accurate management information.
  • Communicate effectively
  • Receive, log and respond to a variety of internal / external staffing and business queries / requests
  • Offer a professional service by recording the details of the enquiries and handling them in a timely and appropriate manner, meeting service standards across all service areas.
  • Keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to the processing and maintaining of data in a variety of IT systems, (including manual and electronic).
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the Service by processing transactions quickly and accurately, alerting any system failures and supporting with appropriate solutions.
  • Processing and preparation of statistical information for stakeholders as and when required.
