THE COMPANY

A prominent provider of news, insights, and data for the industrial gases industry, serving a global client base through its publications, worldwide events, and business intelligence products. The company operates across four main product lines: online news services, magazines, conferences, and a BI unit.

This team will lead a small team of four who focused on collecting data from global sources and building dashboards, data models, and reports. Currently, they are undergoing a restructuring and replatforming of their entire tech stack.


THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the BI and Insights Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving a data-driven culture: Lead efforts to shape and enhance the company’s data-driven approach, pushing the intelligence platform forward to deliver actionable insights.
  • Hands-on data work: Build and maintain data models, develop insightful dashboards, and create reports that enable better business decisions.
  • Forecasting and predictive analytics: Leverage advanced forecasting models and predictive analytics to guide strategic decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
  • Managing the intelligence product: Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the intelligence product, ensuring it delivers high value to stakeholders.
  • Global thought leadership: Present BI findings and industry-specific solutions at international conferences, showcasing the impact of data on the industrial gases sector.


THE REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this BI and Insights Lead role, you will require:

  • Experience leading an analytics program or technical transformation, along with a strong data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Engaging personality and good communication skills to articulate the value of analytics when taking part in conferences, podcasts, or other public speaking contexts.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI, along with SQL and data modelling experience.
  • Management experience is desirable but not essential.
