Band 4 Senior Administrator for HCC Surveillance - Liver Medicine

Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced office administrator to join our team to support the delivery of the Community Liver Health Checks pilot (CLHC) and Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) surveillance programme, which will identify and refer people at high risk of liver cancer into liver surveillance pathways across the West Midlands.Duties will involve patient registration, booking clinical appointments, producing clinic letters and responding to patients enquires.The successful candidate will be required to act as a personal assistant to the delivery team which consists of, Consultant, Project Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The post holder will work closely with the team organising diaries, transcription of formal meetings and producing action plans.The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to use their initiative. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential along with excellent organisational, communication skills and advanced Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft TeamsThere will also be an expectation for the post holder to liaise with the HCC surveillance teams at the other Trusts in the West Midlands and with the Wes Midlands Cancer Alliance Main duties of the job Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven experience of the following skills that are required for this post:Experience in a customer / patient focused environmentAdministration/Secretarial experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal SkillsFast, accurate typing/keyboard skillsExperience of typing and formatting letters and reportsMinute taking experience/ recording meeting notes for transcriptionDiary ManagementA good working knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/office packagesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a teamWell organised and structured approach About us We are recognised as one of the leading NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK.
