Blaster and Yard Operative

Aqueduct Marina is offering the exciting opportunity to join our award-winning marina located in 100 acres of picturesque Cheshire countryside. We are looking for a new Grit Blaster and Yard Operative to join our expanding operations team.

Role Purpose

  • Blasting boats and other items as required
  • Assist with key boat yard activities such as Boat moves, Hull Painting and General tidying of the yard and workshop areas.

Daily Tasks

  • Blasting boats and other items as required
  • Boat handling, launching and yard movements.
  • Boat lifts including gantry lifts.
  • High pressure washing off hulls.
  • Preparing boats for painting
  • ‘Blacking’ boat hulls
  • Tidying around the marina site including workshops and yard areas
  • Carrying out basic health and safety checks
  • Completing regular maintenance activities
  • Completing a daily time sheet.

Skills and Experience required :

  • 1 years experience in a similar roll

Working hours

Hours: 40 hrs per week (full-time), five days week 8 am - 5 pm.

Breaks: There will be two 15-minute paid breaks and 1 hr lunch (unpaid)

Holidays: 28 days per year to include any bank holidays.

Salary based on experience.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
