Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate Ref 701Salary: Negotiable based on experience, ranging from£48,000 - £65,000 Our Legal Services client is currently looking for a Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate in their Merseyside head office.Supervisory responsibility: Wills, Trusts and Probate feeearners and support staffJob Purpose:To be responsible for the professional lead, legal training,and supervision of the Wills, Trusts and Probate team and delivery of aprofessional service to external and internal clients. To achieve requiredoperational, financial and client service performance standards. To fullycontribute to overall successful departmental and firm performance, effectivebusiness development and case intake.Key Responsibilities:Performance Management- Responsible for professional standards of the Wills,Trusts and Probate team through regular file reviews- Supervise case work, provide advice/guidance on technicaland professional matters- Devise, implement and deliver structured training programs- Create and maintain best practice templates, precedentsand their implementation- Conduct appraisals, set objectives and targets for theteamRisk and Compliance- Manage High Risk Register for Wills, Trusts and Probatematters- Supervise staff on anti-money laundering, due diligencerequirements- Investigate allegations of professional negligence andreport to MD- Investigate potential data protection breaches- Ensure Lexcel and case management system complianceClient Management- Devise strategies for efficient case management, feerecovery, and client service- Investigate client complaints and draft responses perfirm's procedures- Develop and maintain strong client/stakeholderrelationshipsRequirements:- Self-sufficient in producing own work on PC with highproficiency in firm's systems- Able to work with minimal administrative/secretarialassistance- Weekly/daily contact with line manager fordiscussion/supervision
