Assistant Practitioner in Ear Care Service

We are a small friendly team who treat patients who are registered with Trafford GP's. We offer microsuction, irrigation and instrumentation and full training will be provided. The Assistant Practitioner will be required to work in a variety of community settings. They will contribute to the smooth and effective running of the ear care service on a day to day basis undertaking a range of clinical and administration duties. The successful applicant will be required to support the assessment and management of patients care needs through initial data collection, monitoring of patients progress and feedback discussion reports. They will provide planned care, review and evaluate the outcome of interventions with patients and if appropriate their relevant carers.They should have the ability to work without direct supervision, whilst being a committed member of our supportive team. Regular training updates will be given to ensure high standards of care are maintained. To maintain accurate and up to date records on all patients, to ensure documentation meets agreed standards and to review and deliver quality ear care to patients without direct supervision. To assist other members of the Ear Care team in the conduct of care which requires more than one member of staff and take appropriate action to deal with emergency situations. To communicate relevant information to patients, families and carers whilst maintaining confidentiality.
