Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS

  1. Delivery of exceptional customer care and efficient laboratory administration services for clients.

  2. Responsible for the implementation of the laboratory administration service and sample entry co-ordination.

  3. Responsible for the co-ordination of subcontracting samples and dispatch.

  4. Maintaining regular contact with customers and building rapport on business related issues.

  5. Provision of tenders/quotations for new/existing samples.

  6. Input relevant and accurate data for sample entry.

  7. Attention to detail to ensure all sample aspects are managed and completed.

  8. Co-ordination of assay samples, storing, distribution, analysis etc.

  9. Contribute to the laboratory services by ensuring an up to date source of information for effective job execution.

  10. Liaising with clients to acknowledge sample receipt dates and provide provisional completion of dates.

  11. Checking for accuracy of information and signature for final certificates ensuring the inclusion of all relevant documents and requested information.

  12. To produce final invoices for clients, ensuring that information is accurate prior to dispatch.

  13. To close files in the computer ensuring that accurate information is contained therein.

  14. To liaise with laboratory staff in relation to turn around times.

  15. Contribute to the laboratory quality of service.

  16. Responsibility for the generation of sample certificates for clients.

  17. Assist in dispute resolution in conjunction with Company procedures.

  18. Processing of sales/purchases in line with Company guidelines.

  19. Undertake responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

  20. Assist with Quality Accreditation Projects, and Health and Safety procedures and policies.

  21. Any other duties as required by Senior Management.

  • Methodical.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task. Must be able to organise and manage several jobs and keep each on track.
  • Ability to recognise patterns in numbers.
  • Able to communicate professionally at ALL levels within the company to find information for clients or to provide feedback.
  • Able to communicate professionally with clients when delivering or requesting information.
  • Ability to learn and understand database systems.
  • Good customer facing skills, presenting a professional image and able to develop sound business relationships.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

DESIRABLE KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

  • Competence with standard Microsoft software packages and experienced in preparing Management Information and reports.
  • Able to prepare overall and individual commodity assay services.
  • Good understanding and appreciation of factors involved in delivering a profitable service.
  • GCSE grade A - C English and Maths.
  • Working knowledge of inspection and supervision.
  • Experience within a customer service or client facing environment.
  • Experience within the assay industry.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : From £22,000.00 per year
