Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Teacher to join a secondary PRU in Brent. You will be working small classes of students with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2024.ECTs are welcome to apply!The School:The school delivers a differentiated age 11-18 curriculum which is closely aligned with young people's levels of ability, interests, and aspirations. It is broad, balanced, relevant to needs and is designed to have integrated therapeutic support as necessary and a focus on developing resilience and preparing young people for the next stage in their lives. The key focus is on improving literacy and numeracy skills alongside the development of personal and social skills and resilience in all subjects.As a Science teacher you will be responsible for the below:Planning, delivering, and assessing KS3 Science lessons (entry level - GCSE level)Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventionsSupport behaviour by following the children's plansUpdating and setting targets for children.Working alongside the SENCO and other professionals in the support networkCommunicating effectively with parents and carersTo join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:QTSKnowledge of, or previous experience teaching children with SEMHA solid understanding of the English curriculumAn Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checksCV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possibleLegal right to work in the UKTradewind are proud partners with the national college which will provide you with a plethora of relevant SEN CPD courses.
