Head Housekeeper

Austen Court are recruiting for a Head Housekeeper at our beautiful home in Evesham.

Job summary

To oversee the domestic and laundry cleaning service in support of the hotel services function to ensure a high quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents.

Specific Duties

Ø Helps to maintain a ‘homely’ and pleasant environment for resident’s and colleagues

Ø Plans and delivers a comprehensive cleaning schedule to ensure that the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times

Ø Supervises cleaning staff in carrying out the cleaning schedule

Ø Participates in cleaning staff supervisions and reviews and supports to achieve their personal plan objectives

Ø Assists with the induction and orientation of new members of the team

Ø Ensures that all cleaning equipment is used and stored safely

Ø Reports any defects, faults or maintenance requirements to cleaning equipment or furnishings

Ø Uses and stores cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations

Ø Carries out stock takes and orders cleaning consumables from approved suppliers within agreed budget

Ø Supervise the laundry team in the safe use and storage of equipment, COSHH and cleaning products, ensuring all regulations are adhered to

Ø Ensures equipment and machinery are kept in good working order and that faults are reported immediately

These duties are not exhaustive. Job holders may be asked to undertake other responsibilities, within their spheres of responsibility and competence

Working hours

08:00am - 16:00pm (Includes weekends)

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : £10.80 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
