Summary : Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is looking for a friendly, well-organised and enthusiastic medical administrator to join our busy and friendly team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and support staff working in the Healthcare Facility located at Queen Elizabeth Memorial Health Centre (QEMHC) Tidworth.

DPHC is a vibrant and fast-moving organisation that aims to provide the very best primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces and other entitled personnel. DPHC delivers clinical service in accordance with NHS Standards and Ministry of Defence policies.

Job description : The post is for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and is available for part-time staff albeit on a job share basis.

  • Delivering MTF reception functions and admin support to all clinicians as directed by the Business Manager or Office Manager.
  • Utilising Information Technology (IT) skills in order to meet the admin requirements of the MTF as per direction from the Business Manager or Office Manager.
  • Responding to telephone enquiries appropriately, timely and ensuring confidentiality where required.
  • Assisting in the collation of medical statistical information (associated with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the MTF dashboard) as directed by the Business Manager or Office Manager.
  • Contributing to effective liaison with internal agencies i.e. other medical facilities and other organisations involved in the provision of medical care.

Responsibilities : Duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by the practice administration team can be varied under the direction of the Business Manager or Office Manager, dependant on current and evolving workloads and staffing levels. Therefore, you should have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to changing requirements.
