Job descriptionJob Title: PMLD TeacherLocation: Waltham Forest Salary: £150-£220 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: September 2024Are you a passionate educator wo wants to contribute in the PMLD sector? GSL Education London is seeking a dedicated and passionate PMLD Teacher to join one of  its exceptional client school in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and care to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities. You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment, enabling each student to reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with PMLD.Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals.Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students.Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and social skills.Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support the holistic development of students.Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience working with students with PMLD or similar complex needs.Strong understanding of SEN best practices and teaching strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.Desirable:Additional qualifications or training in SEN.Experience using alternative communication methods.What the school Offers:A supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children with PMLD.You are required to have the following:The Right to Work in the UKAn enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through usTwo professional child related referencesAn Updated CV  We at GSL Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
